Check your local area for Marches to support Science in the US.  The current administratin doesn't understand what science is and how science is crucial in today's world.  I can't believe I am saying that a sitting president doesn't understand what SCIENCE actually is.   Let's enlighten him and bring him out of the Dark Ages.  This is critical for the safety of the planet and its inhabitants.  Let us not let ignorance be the way the US represents itself in the world!  For our future and the future of our children and all generations to come.  Keep scientific research in the forefront of bring knowlege to the masses.  

California is in deep trouble with regards to its lack of focus in imporving and funding education in the state.  The apparent lack of foresight of the current governor and the legistalature is mind boggling.  In order to stay in competetion with the rest of the world the US has to get behind educating its citizens and force corporations to help foot the bill.  This is the future of the nation we are talking about. While developing nations like China and India are investing heavily in education at all levels, we continue to fall behind.  California is no longer a leader and this is sad, sad, sad.
